This one-day symposium has been organised by the Economics Network with the support of the Government Economic Service and Royal Economic Society. It will bring together economists from academia, the media and government to discuss the difficulties of communicating and discussing economics with the general public.
The event is a response to the nature and level of debate on economics that preceded both the EU referendum and the US presidential election although the issues raised by the symposium are more general than those two single events.
The event is free of charge but registration is required.
