The Economics Network held workshops at the University of Aberdeen and Swansea University in May 2010 on the topic of Assessment and feedback for economics students.
The Aberdeen event was jointly led by Peter Smith (University of Southampton) and David McCausland (University of Aberdeen). The Swansea event was led by Peter Smith.
The key aims were to:
- explore what is meant by good assessment
- explore what is meant by good feedback
- discuss how assessment methods can help to deal with large numbers of students
