Ashley Lait joined the Economics Network in November 2011.

The role of the Centre Manager is to:

Organise, coordinate and manage events including conferences and national and departmental workshops
Coordinate, manage and edit publications, for example the Economic Review and Economics Network newsletters
Support the editorial board of the International Review of Economics Education
Develop, implement and manage thematic projects and schemes for the dissemination and implementation of good practice in learning and teaching, for example the student focus group scheme, the annual awards scheme
Develop teaching resources and documentation for the Network's workshops and ensure they meet the criteria for Royal Economic Society and Scottish Economic Society endorsement
Research into economics teaching and learning, including surveys, focus groups, data collection and analysis
Identify needs within the UK Higher Education economics community through literature reviews, surveys and focus groups
Work with external contacts to support thematic projects and the Network's research
