PBL workshops were held on 8th May at London and 10th June at Manchester to discuss the use of this method of teaching with respect to Economics.

The 4 workshop leaders have all used PBL in their economics teaching and will share their experiences as well as give a brief overview of the philosophy behind PBL and how it works. It will also show how the use of real world examples/studies can deepen a students' understanding of a variety of concepts and techniques, including quantitative concepts and techniques.

The session was run by Associates of the Economics Network: John Sedgwick and Guglielmo Volpe from London Metropolitan University, Dean Garratt from Nottingham Business School and Judith Piggott from Oxford Brookes University.
