The Development in Economics and Business Education (DEBE) Conference was held successfully at the Edinburgh Conference Centre, Heriot-Watt University on the 15th and 16th September 2003.

Bill Becker's keynote address, "Economics for a Higher Education" and Michael K. Salemi's keynote address, "Teaching Economic Literacy: Why, What and How", have both been published in the International Review of Economics Education.
Jocelyn Paine's paper, "The Lives Behind the Numbers On the Screen: Illustrating the Social Consequences of Economic Change By Telling Stories On the Web", has been published in Computers in Higher Education Economics Review.
Michael K. Salemi of University of North Carolina has put materials from his workshop session and keynote presentation on his home page.
