What

A PBL workshop will be held on 8th May at London Metropolitan University and repeated in June at Manchester to discuss the use of this method of teaching with respect to Economics.

The 4 workshop leaders have all used PBL in their economics teaching and will share their experiences as well as give a brief overview of the philosophy behind PBL and how it works. The workshops will last around 2.5 hours and will involve brief talks/discussions and some interactive elements (eg how to write a PBL problem).

The session will be run by Associates of the Economics Network: John Sedgwick and Guglielmo Volpe from London Metropolitan University, Frank Forsythe from University of Ulster and Judith Piggott from Oxford Brookes University.
